Overview of Haecceities
Haecceities: Essentialism and the Limits of Abstraction continues work on the limits of Abstraction in art that began with Subjects and Objects: Art, Essentialism, and Abstraction. Subjects and Objects is a philosophical investigation of what must underlie any creative attempt to determine the limits of Abstraction in art. The subject matter of Haecceities is works of art in which I believe limits of Abstraction to be determined and things of interest and importance that pertain to the determination of those limits. Haecceities is a work in progress. A provisional table of contents and the current introduction to the book follow.
